Wireless Fences are great products, but up until now there have been two major drawbacks:
- The collar batteries need to be replaced a great deal
and
- The collars were too bulky for small dogs
PetSafe has released a great new product called the PetSafe Stay + Play Wireless Fence. This fence has both a rechargeable collar, and is a Wireless Fence for Small Dogs!
The collar is adjustable from 6″ to 23″ and is suitable for dogs 5 lbs and up. When you add the rechargeable collar, increased range to a circular 210 ft, and small overall size it is a great addition to the range.

PetSafe Stay + Play Wireless Dog Fence is suitable for small dogs, has an increased range and a rechargeable collar.

Question:
I have a dog who does not seem to respond well to the standard invisible fence. Is a stubborn dog fence any more effective?
Answer:
Yes, the PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence is designed for dogs that do not respond well to standard levels of stimulation. The Stubborn Dog Fence has the highest intensity level available, and includes five levels of stimulation, all with a waterproof collar.
Remember – even though you have a product that is designed for a stubborn, or hard-to-train dog, you should follow the training best practices. Always use a positive reinforcement, and never, never a “pain compliance” training technique. Dogs respond to consistent training from a a person who is in an emotionally balanced state. We know he can be naughty, but don’t let your emotions get the better of you. If in doubt, consult a trained behaviorist.
So, the PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence is a great solution for that dog who needs a little more correction.

One of our Stationary Bark Control products is designed for outdoor use, and looks just like a bird house, meaning that it will blend in with your landscape. It has a range of 50ft and can deter your neighbors dog by giving him an ultrasonic stimulation each time he barks! It is safe and humane, and may just be what you need.

I hear about “Authorized Retailers”, what does that mean.

Question:
What’s That Included in the PetSafe PBC-102 Bark Control Collar Kit? The thing on the left with the wires sticking out of it.
Answer:
That’s a good question, the picture is below:

That is a collar tester that lights up to tell you whether the collar is ready to work. There are connection points on the collar which you touch the wires against. It lights up to show you that the collar is working.

We were contacted by a lady that wanted to control two large dogs. The pet owner has 6 dogs, but said that the labs were a little badly behaved and she wanted something that would work to control them.
Initially she had looked at the PetSafe PDBDT-305 Big Dog Trainer since it is designed for dogs 40 lbs plus. She asked if this was the correct product and we told her that the PetSafe PDBDT-305 is an excellent unit, but is designed for only one dog.
For her situation, two large dogs, on a budget, and needing a range of 150 yards or less, we recommended the Innotek BT-502A Two-Dog Remote Trainer. This is an excellent device for pet owners with two dogs since it comes complete with two waterproof rechargeable collars and an easy to use remote.
She purchased the Innotek BT-502A and is very happy with the performance of this remote trainer. As with all of our collars, trainers and fences, the unit was shipped from stock with free shipping.

Question:
Will the Innotek Contain & Train collars work with the Pet Safe Stubborn Dog System?
Answer:
Unfortunately, no. The systems are different and not compatible with each other. Perhaps you could consider a remote trainer as an additional option. In this case, the dog would need two collars, one for the fence and one for the trainer. It sounds like you have multiple dogs, so the Innotek BT-502A Two Dog Basic Trainer would be a great option for you.
Another option is to consider one our Contain ‘N’ Train systems, such as the Innotek SD-3000 Basic Contain and Train, or the Innotek IUC-5100 Ultrasmart Contain ‘N’ Train Pet Fencing System. The fences would utilize your existing wiring and add some great features to boot – particularly the IUC-5100.
