The restrictions are that the SD-2025 Collar will not work with the Remote Control for the SD-3000, nor is it compatible with the Ultrasmart products.

The Innotek SD-3000 Basic Contain ‘N’ Train System is both a combined fence and 150 yard remote trainer, featuring a lightweight, hand-held remote.

Unfortunately, no. The systems are different and not compatible with each other. Perhaps you could consider a remote trainer as an additional option. In this case, the dog would need two collars, one for the fence and one for the trainer.
